Fragility

I learned today of the very sad news that our friend and colleague AnnaKirsten passed away, she will be greatly missed by so many here on Deviantart, not only for her invaluable contributions to the various fractal art groups she was involved with and her own art contributions but also for her real friendship and welcoming kindred spirit.

I created this image in her memory - Rest in Peace, Anna xx

Sad NewsDear all,
This is Karen, Anna's daughter.
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you mum passed away on Tuesday 5th January at 9pm. She deteriorated very rapidly and we are all very shocked by what has happened. Before she went, she asked me to update you all, as she loved her time on this site and in her conversations with you. Mum was unable to interact with people in person for many years, due to poor health, and her time on this forum gave her the friendship and interest that she needed to live her life in a more fulfilled and less isolated way. For this I also want to thank you all!
In the final weeks of her life she was at utter peace that she was going to be with the Lord and so I try to celebrate the freedom she now has, without the limitations set by her physical body. This is difficult, as I miss her and my father grieves deeply for her too. Whilst contemplating my mum prayerfully and tearfully, the Lord gave me a poem that I managed to share with mum before she left
